There was once a man who didn't believe in God. He lived life on his own terms, and never bothered to consider eternity or the consequences of his actions. He mocked and persecuted those who believed in God, especially Christians. God had often revealed Himself to him through dreams and other means but he remained adamant.
One day, he was struck with a severe illness that left him helpless. Despite seeking traditional solutions and visiting various oracles, he found no relief.
Eventually, a friend who had been sharing about Jesus with him came to visit. He invited the sick man to church, and he agreed to go. At the church, the man of God told him that he wouldn't pray for him unless he destroyed his idols. The man agreed, and they destroyed the idols together. Afterward, they returned to the church, and the man of God prayed for him. Instantly, he received peace, rest, and sanity. From that day on, he believed in God. He started serving Him and became a great evangelist who was mightily used by God in his lifetime.
God's Goodness
God is good to all, and His goodness is not limited to believers. Psalm 145:9 says, "The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works." This is why we must believe in Him.
The Great Power of Faith
In the Old and New Testaments, we see examples of people who believed in God and did wonders in His name. Their lives were righteous, and they were distinct from those who didn't believe. On the other hand, those who refused to believe faced destruction and calamity. The Bible says, "He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy"(Proverbs 29:1).
Salvation Call
If you want to experience God's goodness and power in your life, it's time to believe. Repeat after me:
"Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Forgive my sins, and grant me eternal life. Help me to live a righteous life, and may your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life."
Amen.
May God bless you as you start this new journey of faith!
